Letter from the Library

Happy New Year! We are wishing you a bright and book-filled year in 2026 and hope it’s been off to a great start. We can’t wait to see you for our first story time of the year on Wednesday, January 7 at 10am!

I also want to remind all of our parents of our youngest patrons that we have a PJ Party coming up as our first 2026 event! Join us on January 8 at 5pm for a sleepover-themed story time, crafts, snacks, and cartoons. We’ll be showing two cartoons and will have popcorn and water for everyone. Stuffed animals will be able to stay at the library overnight, and staff will be sure to document EVERYTHING that they get up to and share that story on our Facebook page.

In addition to our PJ Party and Stuffy Sleepover, we’re introducing a new club at CPL: our aspiring writers’ club aka “Writer’s Block!” Our club will be meeting on the third Saturday of every month to share our recent work, provide and receive feedback, and work to improve our writing together. We already have several patrons committed and would love to have more. Our first meeting with be on January 17 from 10-11:30am and we’ll focus on introductions, sharing our initial or ongoing ideas, and suggestions for what we’d all like to work on. I hope you’ll join us and help make “writer’s block” into a good thing!

We’ll be announcing our Spring programs soon, so be on the lookout for exciting future events at the library!
